Brisbane’s bikeway network continues to grow and provide an alternative way of getting around the city. Many bikeways are shared paths, and people riding bikes are required to give way to other users such as people walking. It is also legal for people to ride a bike on the footpath, unless otherwise signed.

Before cycling, check the temporary bikeway and shared pathway closures that may affect your bike ride.
If you see a hazard or safety concern along a bikeway, report it to Council by completing the Report it: bikeway maintenance form or phoning Council’s Customer Contact Centre on 07 3403 8888.
