Back by popular demand, Brisbane City Council’s “BMX with the best” event returns on Saturday 21 October 2023 at Kuraby Skate Park.
The BMX with the best event is a celebration of the best of BMX in Australia, with jaw-dropping demonstrations from international BMX champions, free workshops for children, kids’ activities and so much more.
A fun and free family day out, there will be workshops for kids aged 6-17 years to learn tips and tricks from international BMX champions, including Australian BMX Freestyle Olympian, Natalya Diehm.
You can also enjoy jaw-dropping demonstrations from Natalya and other international BMX champions at 11.30am and 3pm. There will be local food vendors, fun activities for the kids, an opportunity to win a brand new BMX bike and local community organisation TRACTION will be providing free bike safety checks on the day.
Our BMX workshops are suitable for all ability levels from beginners to experienced riders. Riders will need to bring a safe and suitable bike, helmet, closed in footwear, water bottle and if possible, knee and elbow pads and gloves. There will be a limited number of BMX bikes available to loan.
To participate in a BMX workshop, bookings are essential. You do not need to book for any other activities.
